I'd Prefer To Be Remembered, As A Smiling Face...

Slightly freaking out.
Since Jeff is leaving for (basically) summer, I have to quit my job since I no longer have a ride.
There really aren't too many options within walking distance here, and in addition there is a lot of time I will need off this summer. Every month I have a little something going on...birthdays, weddings, and what have you. I can't go back to San Diego tho - that was my starting point! With nothing to show, I'll never go back If I can help it.
Ok. Just talked to Amber, and she calmed me down a bit. But still - ever just sit back and wonder what the heck am I doing here to yourself? I guess when nothing goes as planned, is when you just have to work harder.

Enh.

Oh, by the way, befriend me at myspace!

So I Laughed Until It Didn't Hurt

Friday night. Oakland, California. My first time seeing Mates of State, fifth time seeing Taking Back Sunday, and third time seeing Jimmy Eat World. Amazing night of performances...don't front on Mates of State!!! Download "Abercrombie" and see what I mean.

Jeff has been out of town with his girlfriend this past weekend; it's been nice having the apartment all to myself. Just me, hanging out with the cat.

I have just been informed of some changes in plans...Jeff now might be going to the camp I spoke of previously, which leaves a lot of room for possibilites on my part. He will still be paying his part of the rent, and so the apartment is still ours. So...anybody out there who wants to take a little vacation to Sac-town is more than welcome to come stay for a few days, provided you help out with groceries and such.

I will be (hopefully) recording thru the week, and have some stuff up so you can listen to it.
I am starting a new blog devoted entirely to my music...check it out here. There's not much there yet, but leave me a comment or suggestion, or maybe an old Mexican adage...whatever's on your mind.

That's about all for now. Big things coming, people. You have no idea...stay tuned.

No One Ever Plans To Sleep Out In The Gutter...

Things have been going well lately. Work hasn't been too bad, our apartment is now furnished, and I had some friends come visit me this past week (Brett, Jenae, Ashley for those who know them).
They drove up from Oceanside to go to San Francisco with me to see a concert. Her Space Holiday, The Faint, and Bright Eyes. Wow. The show was so amazing, I am going to drive all the way down to San Diego next month and catch it again. I suggest all of you go see a show...the remaining dates can be found here.

As far as musical updates, Jeff's CD has been getting pretty decent feedback, and he has been playing some of the local coffee shops here. We've met some pretty cool people, most of the artists we've seen playing are very talented, with a lot of folk music mainly.

I have been writing a lot lately, and am somewhat pleased with it for the most part. For those of you who know me personally, that's saying a lot - I hate my music. I plan to record some stuff pretty soon here ( nothing fancy), just to give an idea of what I'm going for and get some feedback. If I could find the fundings for a Mac, I'd be set. I could do all the recording and instrumentation that I need with one of those. So...if anybody knows where I can get a good deal on a G4 Mac Laptop/ibook you let me know. Take care everybody.

I've got a little sister, who's growing up so quick
How can she be aging, when I still feel like I'm a kid?
I try to set examples, to outline all her steps
If I walk in bad company, she'll get lost in the tread
